3rd & last days of the Masters at Augusta and the 1st and 2nd days at Ridgewood. The first day at Ridgewood got to 88 degrees followed by a 66 on the second day. Club-clean USA was set up right outside the pro shop so a few ins and outs at quiet periods to catch the latest was about the best we got. Trevor Immelman held on to the end and the charge from "T" never really materialised, let down by his putter. How many times have we heard that about our own game ! Well done Trevor - only the second South African since Gary Player in 1978 (his thrid), although plenty of close calls.
Club-clean was entertained by the Golf Channel Amateur Challenge followed by a charity event to raise funds for the local girls softball team. A full day for the club and club-clean. A real contrast to the following day. Temperatures dropped like a stone, threats of thunderstorms and rain, which materialised early afternoon, led to a quiet time all round. Black skies came along and many, including C-C disappeared to watch the end of the Augusta Masters.
Ridgewood Lakes is well worth a visit for a real test of golf. Water on nearly every hole and I am assured that 'gators have been seen at every watering point. Check up their web site a for a view www.ridgewoodlakesgolf.com
